Hello there.
Its time to replace my battery in the pioneer 1000-5.
Got almost 5 years from my original one.
What are your thoughts on a new one.
Thank you

Batteries in most cases are hard to get right now! im sure harder in Canada. So any type that size Shall do.
If you u want to know all the kinds, use the search above for Battery, the topic has been exhausted on here alot.

Just replaced the battery in my 2016. My Honda dealer said that he didn't know when he would get any in.
I'm friends with the biggest Interstate Battery distributer in the North East and it took him 2 months to get me one.
Good luck!

Huh, I just bought a new sled battery and had dozens of choices, local and shipped (?) I wasn't aware of any shortage.

Anyway, here are the numbers I documented when I was looking for a new battery for the Honda. I picked up a Napa battery at the local store that fit perfectly.

I did document that. I got the NAPA ETX14. It's an AGM battery.

I don't know which one to get, but I'd sure prefer to get one with real terminal posts and not the stupid screw into nut that falls out lawnmower battery that was stock.

I'm in the middle of doing the same thing, and I also hate those worthless little square nuts.
found a pretty easy way to beat them though..
Prior to hooking up the wires, put the nut in, screw a bolt into it, and pull it up flush. Then stick a piece of cardboard in under the nut. unscrew the bolt, & hook 'em up. worked pretty good.

More importantly... make certain the battery you get has the pos and neg terminals on the correct side prior to hooking it up.

Unlike I did.

I'm now ordering new fuses, in hopes that those are the only things I messed up.

My primary battery is getting very weak, I thought I had the original battery in it from 16, pulled the battery out and found I had replaced the original with a Stryker brand from Battery Outfitters, it only lasted a little over two years? So back to my original thought that lasted four years, buy a original battery. So I called my dealership and asked if they had one and how much? Dusty replied we a Yussa and have one and it's $ 120.00, done deal! Stryker bad battery!

Was looking for a battery brand for someone on here and came back to see this. Ill answer your “huh” lol
I was referring to our shop at the time for generator batteries with Interstate. We couldnt get enough stock and still having a bit of trouble. The rep said cuz of shortage, they were focusing on certain types. SXS, sled and bikes must be a differnt story so I apologize for my statement.

Somethings up with availability at dealers in Ontario Canada. I ordered a new one early Feb at the dealer with an estimated delivery of mid March. Checked last week and now not expected until mid May. Ended up finding one at Royal distributing in Ontario. They had stock and sold at a better price.
