new and looking to get a honda sxs help please

hi every one thanks for taking a min to read this. i am looking to get a honda sxs i have rode the 700-4 but am a little worried it will be under powered so i have been looking at the 1000-5 i just would like some imput from people that have them what are the pros and cons thank you

I'm about to pull the trigger too. I didn't find the 700 to have enough power and not having a low range made me lean towards the 1000. And yes it is a lot more money but if I'm not happy why am I doing this? Save and buy it next month or whatever. That's my plan.

If you ride the p4 and you are worried about power then you need the 1000.You must take a test ride on one

i also didnt like the low range of the 700 i just felt like it should of had more. and on to my next ? is it worth getting the fully loaded or base does anyone have any videos of there sxs being rode hard lol not this you tube with the dealers telling you how great they are

I had 700-4 and put about 1500 miles with no problems, I thought it was pretty powerful, I put it through the woods and back with four grown men and never had issues. That being said I went out and bought a 1000-5 but have yet to put more than 20 miles on it. The things I like about the 1000 is it is much quieter, faster and the power steering is very nice. I loved my 700 but with 5 of us in the fam and kids getting bigger I opted for 1000. I probably would have bought 1000 if they were around when I bought 700. Bottom line I thought 700 was a beast but the 1000 is so nice. Just get the 1000

People on here move from the 500 to the 1000 or from the 700 to the 1000.. not the other way around!!

Check out my YouTube channel. I will link A few videos for you. I had a 2015 pioneer 700 and it would be perfectly fine until you start adding a lot of accessories and oversized tires. There were times when it would not pull up a hill with my wife and one child. I tried to address the power issue with a tuner, K and N filter, new exhaust tip. I've also had numerous times it would not turn the tires in the mud. However, with the stock size tires it would do fantastic. It just didn't like true 28 inch tires. This is my experience and I do understand it's not everyone's. my vehicle was waited down with oversized tires and a large battery and many other accessories.

I'm with Joey it was underpowered especially as heavy as I had made it with accessories. Stock it was fine, big tires killed the power along with the 500lbs of add ons.

I've only had four adults in it once for a short ride so I really have not used it like that much, but I have taken my two dogs (1=#45, the other #52), my wife with cooler ect up some pretty steep trail in northern NH and never had an problems with power. I think it all boils down to what your looking for, you wanna go fast, have all the bells and whistles get the p1k. If you want a bullet proof proven machine that will NEVER smoke a clutch get a 700.

Here in CO., you don't see any 700s or any other smaller CC machines. I live at 8400 ft. so the altitude robs too much HP right from the get go. I use my P1K3 at 8000-13000K ft. and power has never been an issue. Don't go crazy with oversize tires, they are the worst HP killer. I drove another guys machine (exact same as mine) except he had big tires on it. I think they were 30". While driving it, I asked him what was wrong with it, it had no power. The only difference was the big tires.
