Like taking the 6 & 8yr olds for rides. Need eye, ear and head protection for them, or the ride will be really slow. You guys have any suggestions. Tried bike helmets with ear muffs and safety glasses. The muffs slipped down. The safety glasses let the dust and sand in. The bike helmets worked great.

Sure we can leave them at home but that's no fun, they love the rides we have though the woods. Thanks!

Might those helmets be too heavy for their necks?
Not really, there made for younger kids, much lighter than adult helmets, my 9YO grand daughter wears one when she rides with us and no problems, last September she wore it for a 12 hour ride. Although she would take it off when we stopped, she wore it that whole weekend no problem.

My kids are 6 and 7 these look a bit big on them but they fit perfect, and they are really light. Interchangeable padding inside so they can grow into them. Flip down clear and shaded visors. I think we got them online at Sears???

Cool. Any suggestions for brand of moto helmets?
They are all pretty much the same, if your not sure you can go to a cycle shop and have them fit your kids up, you might pay a little more that way, but you’ll know they fit good and they are good quality

Go to the shop with the kiddo. They will help fit them properly. It’s worth any difference in price. Brand…whatever fits best. I’ve had several. The more expensive helmets tend to have better venting in my experience.

A drop of helmet from waist height technically should be replaced. So preach setting helmets down in a safe spot when removed.

My 6 year olds have been wearing them for a couple years

The more expensive helmets are more comfy and weigh a little less, but the kids have no problem with any of them. I do wear my helmet also, so it’s just something you have to do when we ride.

I bring goggles with on every ride, but all 4 of my kids don’t like wearing them????? Not sure why.

Those straps are kind like a HANS device. Works well for Indy and NASCAR🤣
