P1000 Need a picture of top of gas tank

Was wondering if anyone had a picture or could take a close up picture of the gas tank locking ring, I’m pretty sure I have it seated correctly, just need a picture for reference. Please and thank you for any help

Hmmmm, never had a rubber cover on it. Not sure if it makes a difference but it’s a 2018. Will have to investigate this

Thank you, I will contact dealer about it, I’m sure that will get me nowhere but I can at least try. I wonder if anyone else is missing?

At least I seated the lock ring correctly lol

My 2017 1000-5 deluxe doesn't have the rubber cover. Looking at the parts diagram only 2016 has the rubber cover. FWIW.
