My muffler is falling apart anyone else having this problem? I have extended warranty looks like Honda will cover cost but the dealer can not get one in back ordered, don't know when one will be available

I got rid of mine some time ago and got an HMF qs and love it. Sold my stock one a while back as well. Might not b your cup of tea but heres a vidgea i did of it When i first i stalled it.

Remington, does the 2016 have the o2 sensors ? . From what I understand I would have to have my 2018 re calibrated for a more free flow exhaust because of o2 sensors and void my warranty

Yup. I only get about two years out of 'em. Mine always crack at the weld where the cat meets the muffler can. I just buy them used off of eBay. Lots of people sell them after putting an aftermarket muffler on. I'm actually in the middle of having to replace my exhaust header which broke completely in half at the flange. I think it's the 270 degree power stroke timing that makes these engines shake a lot and it just tears the exhaust system apart. There's one on eBay right now... I loosened the shields there is a screw driver pointing to the cracks where exhaust meets muffler also bottom of muffler has holes. I am still running machine shields seem to keep heat enclosed. When I get issues resolved I will take better pictures.

Looks like a weld seem that rusted out and failed. hard to tell from the pic but theres some good rust all the way around in there. Where do you ride and have you swamped it before?

Mostly road and some trail very little mud. Never been swamped. It is our 2nd pioneer 1000 . First one had about 17000 miles no problems but was basic model we were so impressed we traded for le model bought the extended warranty because of un limited miles. Also why I am so disappointed that Honda can't come up with a muffler
