P500 Motor knocking

Hey guys I recently picked up a 2019 pioneer 500 used I’ve rode it a few times and the first ride I rolled it into a water hole that had some sand in it pulled the spark plug and the cylinder was full of water so I pulled it back to the truck took it home flushed oil 5 to 6 times and it was fine for about 2 months about 2 weeks ago it started smoking and lost a lot of power figured it needs a full top end rebuild now it has developed a small knock or very bad tick can’t tell sounds like it could be coming from bottom end any ideas of what it could be

How many hours? When you do the top end pull the jug and check rod play.

Cam chain slap? Bad tensioner?

Had a knocking sound once and it turned out to be a bent skid plate rubbing on an engine mount. A big relief it was just that.
