My 2018 Honda 1000-5 deluxe is blinking a code of 9-1. This appears to be the intake air temperature sensor (IAT). If so, where is it located? Any risk to engine in continuing to ride with this code blinking?

Its a sensor on the air box. Its on the dirty side of the air box.
Right where the box connects to the tube going under the seats.
It might look like this. (this is not exact image)

Thanks! So, should we avoid using it until I get this replaced? We actually had plans to ride some out in the Colorado mountains over the next four weeks.

It's not a common issue..
Books say the engine will operate normally.
So... IDK..
I'd probably take mine out. lol.

Ok, good information. Not sure I could do the repair and the service centers are slammed around here. I may just give it a try as is. Thank you!

Come on.. You can at least check to make sure it's plugged in.
Replacing it is easy as well.
Its a sensor on the air box just above the spark plug wires. Between the flex tube and the actual air box.
Have to remove the air box guard cover and you can get to it.
Easy.
Hate for it to just be disconnected.
