I bought a set of fox shocks for my 1000-5 base model. There is slack in bushing on lower mount of front shock between rubber washers. It's almost like rubber washers that came with shocks should have been wider. Has anyone noticed this and is that normal? Thanks

Have had mine on since 17’ and are the same. thats the bushing sleeve. The rubber is to keep the fit tight where it mounts like in your pic.
In other words, your good! Go ride!!

Those bushings are a wear item - if you look at the parts layout for an LE model you can see all the parts and their numbers to order and replace - note there are different sizes for some of the items between front and back and top to bottom ...

I'm looking to do the same thing to my base 1000, are you happy with the improved ride quality? Would you say the ride gains are in line with the cost?
