P700 Loss of power

ok, I know this has been posted, but on the Alpine Loop, some steep hills it goes up good , others it dogs down to 5mph like it's in hi gear, etc. what's up? Any ideas? Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse

Simply said, too high geared for its power to weight ratio. Especially in mountain country.

First time I was at 12,600ft and up a pretty steep incline, went down to like 5 mph, was just thinking no big, I'm pretty high up and it's steep, I know it's not a demon. But today I climb 12,800 ft and did great, went to lower altitude (10,000ft) and it it did it again.

A lot of engines struggle at high altitude. I'm not surprised you get varying results. Hell, I can't breath above 10,000 feet.

Spoke with Honda when I got back home. It only did it twice, and they where pretty steep. They did acknowledge there was an issue, but no resolution to it. It's back in Mo now running perfect, I'll just get me a 1000-5 when I go back

I wish I could "just get me a 1000-5..." whenever I wanted to.
