Spending some time in Arizona shortly this winter. Will be trailering my Pioneer behind the camper. We will be spending some time around Quartzsite with friends. Will probably go up around Sedona area also. Looking for any recommendations for places to ride around these areas. Thanks

I know @WillyBill rode around Sedona. Note; all the CG's above Sedona are closed in winter and are a tight fit even for my rig.

I never got up towards Sedona much.
If you decide to go south of there (specifically Jerome/Chino Valley/Prescott area), I can maybe send on some good rides. Also, @hondabob is in that area, and he rides like we can only dream of.

There is a book called GUIDE TO ARIZONA BACKROADS AND 4-Wheel
Drive trails by Charles Wells that is excellent. It guides you turn by turn. With GPS and actual distance. It is available for other states as well. Used on ebay $8.00

Be advised you can drive the Pioneer on 45 mph or slower roads, but tires must be DOT approved. And of course lights, horn, etc. You are still allowed to hang your hand out for turn signals. Also, must have insurance as if it was a car. Ours cost about $55 bucks a year extra. Nice to drive around without racking up the miles on your truck.

Wickenburg is good. Park behind McDonalds and go up the river. The water section is about 10 miles up.

ITS GOING TO THE COKE OVENS FROM THE FLORENCE CALVIN HIGHWAY GO DOWN TO BOULDER AREA. THEN DRIVE IN CROSS THE RIVER TO THE COKE OVENS.
So you can go to the coke ovens that way? The trail over from box canyon just kills me in a 500.

Since we're on the subject...This is a video i made of Hassayampa canyon a few years back. There was (literally) ice frozen in the still water and patches of snow. Just what you expect from Wickenburg...
