I had one of these propane heaters that was made for a golf cart in my 2004 Rhino.
My heater was a Coleman about 10-12 inches in diameter.
Used a 1lb propane cylinder. I cut a fire extinguisher mount and welded it back together to fit the propane bottle. Mounted to my dash with a piece of flat plate.
You could rotate it toward the driver or passenger. I worked very well for my needs.
