Found good use for take off HF 2500lb winch when building a room addition. Had to remove old metal beam and also lift materials. Scaffold makes a good roll around mount for truss lifting.

Video of removing steel support beam. Red angle iron at floor is bolted to scaffold for tilt safety. Scaffold is also so handy in workshop as a rolling tool/saw rack and for board storage on top rungs. If theres a will, theres a way, DIY.

Video of removing steel support beam.

My first thought is capacity of ladder vs weight of beam.
There were several times in the distant past I'd liked to have had one of these for shingles.

Agree, For the metal beam lowering, I reinforced the ladder with angle iron on sides and top for the pulley attachment. The wooden supports to the side where used for testing, just in case. Also made a lift platform like shingle lift. Not much invested and handy for overhead lifts when wife and I built her she shed. Just sharing for you DIY guys. LOL
