Have to make a work related trip to Lafollette, Tennessee in a couple weeks. Thought I would bring the Pioneer and get some riding in around the RRB area. Anyone interested in riding Friday the 25th???

I can take the day off work, but would like more than 1 day for the drive. Are you available either side of that as well? Thursday night ride?
Actually I am. I'll be in Lafollette early Thursday morning with work and plan on hitting the trails that day no later than 1 o clock that afternoon.

I believe I am in. I had to get a trade for work because we had 4 people scheduled off. Weird for January.
Where are you staying? Comfort Suits? I will be coming down Thursday and plan on meeting by 1. My wife might be with me as well.
We are hoping to go down next Thursday- Friday ourselves and explore Windrock area. We were going to check out the penitentiary, but it's closed until April 1st.

That's awesome! I usually do stay at the inn but this time I'll be in a cabin house on Norris lake. I'm actually going down to set a headstone for some family at Bakers Forge Cemetery which happens to be close to RRB, lucky me!
I'm coming down early to get some ride time in before the rest of the family comes in late Friday night. Hope you can make it...
I recently bought a lifetime trail map tablet which has proven to be awesome, so we'll have a guide to wherever.....

We did dragons back, went down widow maker, climbed an old coal line (the z shaped red trail) hit up a lot of trails in those areas. I'm sure Tim will chime in and give a better account.
Hope to do another trip soon! Would love to get a group together.

The Z trail was definitely a trail we are hitting again. It appears the top part isn't as popular. It was hard to see the trail with the fresh snow.
My only disappointment was not making it to eternal flame. The water was up and we had to find another way back. I stopped and backed out when the water came up into my seat

I'll start a new thread, but I plan on going back down Monday thru Wednesday February 4th-6th. I have a coworker going through a divorce and he wants a getaway. He'll be riding shotgun and I hate to be stuck on bunny trails with him. He's never been in a SXS.
