Is there advantage between a scissor or bottle jack for trail use?

Can always find away
....to get tire off ground

I carry a scissor jack because it has a good range of lift for its size and weight. Hope I never need it.

I always have trees nearby, so I just use my winch to lift things..if I lived on the prairie or in the desert I would get a lightweight scissor from the junkyard out of a small car.
