Does anyone know if there is an updated version of the 700 coming?
Edit: sorry i think i mean the 700-4

I am deciding between a 500 and 700, and although I think the 700 would be better for towing and carrying capacity - the flip up rear seats look awesome, i really want the flappy paddle gear box.

On the rare occation I would need to carry a 3rd person, but the flappy paddles are more important to me - so should I wait a few months, or just get the 500?

Honda announced the 2016 models a month or so ago. The 500/700 did not get many updates more design refinements. The big changes to the lineup came with the addition of the 1000/1000-5 versions of the Pioneer model.

If you're wanting the features it sounds like you might be wanting you might consider the 1000-5.

X2 if you are wanting the paddle shifters in a machine that seats 4 the P1000-5 is the route to go. Properly executed drivetrain and capabilities!

Ended up getting the P500
In NZ they are $20k, the P700 was $25k so I imagine the 1000 would be around the $30k price which was too expensive for me. I am rather happy with the P500 - though I am now trying to solve a few issues with ingress rain into the cab.

Congratulations on the purchase! I think you'll be happy with it. Reading through the 500 forums I think you'll realize nobody buys a 500 and regrets it!

Yeah the exchange rate is horrible at the moment
10,000 USD = 15,662 NZD

About a year ago it would have been about $12,000 NZD
