P1000 Is 20 hour first service overkill?

20 hours must be for people who run a brand new engine into the ground day 1. Is it really necessary for someone who never went over 15mph?

Fist service is 20hr or 100 miles, whichever comes first. So no it’s not if you have 100+ miles on it.

It doesn't matter how fast you get there.
Goal is to wash out the hidden metal shavings and replace with fresh oil/filter.

Metal Shavings in Oil Filter!

Here is a picture of my oil filter fanned out at 111 miles. Seen another member post a similar picture. Figured I would add mine.

Just did the first service on mine today there was plenty of shavings in the DCT filter/ housing
