Hey guys, I'm looking to buy and have my eye on the 2018 P1000 5. I can't seem to get and consistent review. I keep hearing they run hot, rode terrible, back seats are useless and the transmission is trash. Then on the other hand I have heard they are awesome. Can you guys give me honest feedbaxk?

I have a 2016 1000-3. I have had no issues after 600+ miles.
I've ridden it, carried stuff in it and plowed snow with it.
I would/will definitely buy another.

All depends on how you look at it. I have a 2016 pioneer 1000-5 with over 2500 miles on it. The engine gets hot but so does ever engine that runs. The back seat are small but work for small people and kids. The transmission does make noise but works It's a good UTV . I would buy another one with out thinking about it.

Get out there and drive one.
That's a great way to get a feel for these machines.

I have a 2017, and it is the perfect machine for my family. It goes 66mph (for when I need to run to the store when camping), seats 5, has plenty of power. If you are looking for a sport machine the Honda is not for you, if you want an all around machine it is great. The Honda has no belts, the suspension is good (the wife does not complain), oh and it is a Honda. There are pros and cons to any machine and you need to find the one that fits your needs.

When I was looking there where only 3 machines that fit my family, the Honda, Polaris Ranger, and CanAm Defender. When all is said and done I picked the Honda, for the warranty, seats 5, lockers front/rear, and that it was not 12' plus long. My second pick was the CanAm and then the Ranger.

Good luck on your search and have fun out there.

I have a 2016 1000-5 with 3800 miles, no problems what so ever. It is the best all around utv IMO. I like to ride and not work on it. It’s a HONDA! “Let the good time roll”

Run far, far away from any S x S, they get really expensive to add the goodies to! HA!

2018 1K5 Deluxe ...... love it. No, it does not run hot, but it does built up heat ...... big difference. But the '18 have been approved over the older ones on the heat issue. Mods of bilge fan/insulation helps tremendously. Tranny works perfect, but makes some noise when new, less after breakin. PLENTY of power, very comfortable ride, best looking UTILITY on the market ..... AND it is a Honda!

It’s a jack of all trades... it does everything pretty well but doesn’t shine at any one thing. It all depends on your needs and wants from a sxs... given what’s out there. I’d buy one again.
