I've had my P1K-3 for 10 months now (not one problem) and the modifications just keep adding on. I see there are a few on here that are on their second Pioneer, both 700 or 1000. So if you had the chance to get another Pioneer 1000, what modifications would you do differently or that ones you wouldn't do at all because you now see they weren't worth it?

I would’ve not drove through puddles without a redesigned air intake.

I would have gotten the Deluxe instead of the base 1000-5. As soon as finances allow I will be adding the body panels and aluminum wheels along with some 28" Terrabites. I'm happy with everything else I've done to it.

I have really enjoyed my machine. I've roughed up a few parts but in general it has been very durable and my money spent on modifications has paid off when we are out on the trail.

I'm on my second 1000. I went with an LE this time. I built a UHMW roof this time instead of aluminum. I didn't do the stereo this time because my last one so much sound was lost In the wind. A stereo is certainly doable just cost more than I wanted to spend on one to make it sound good. I bought better LEDs where it mattered. A few other minor changes but still a great machine.

My 19le should be in any day now. It will be my second rig. Now that I've had one before the second will be much easier to mod. I will do most of the same stuff just in a different order of more important things that I use. The main thing that I will do is to take my time and do a cleaner job with wires.

I definitely did a lot cleaner job wiring this time around. I got a ground block with 4 lugs and that helped a lot.
