That’s my plan… Technically it’s considered an adventure bike. But I am positive I will use it to go back and forth to work 20 miles a day
had a hurricane 1000 back in the day and I really miss it just to many distracted people.

Great bikes. I bought a new leftover 2015 650 in 2017 for $5000 out the door. Rode it a year and a half, sold it and took an old TS185 on trade (got 4500 plus the bike). Then put the TS up for sale and a guy offered me an 02 1000 vstrom for it - straight up trade! I got lucky. So now I have a 1000 vstrom and have practically nothing in it. I used the 650 as a commuter mostly. Consistently 50 mpg as long as I didn't go over 80 on the interstate. Practical, reliable, comfortable bikes. The 1000 is a hoot to ride... My 1000 has about 45k miles on it and runs like a top. It's hard not to wheelie in first gear.

Congrats on the bike! Hard to find something better for 2700
