How do cancel email notifications?

I check the forum multiple times a day,
so I don't need the emails? I looked at
the preferences page, but I didn't see
anything that specifically mentioned
emails.

Go to your profile and either uncheck the notification box or unsubscribe from the thread you posted in. You can turn it off globally in those settings as well.
