Hey all, just got a used Pioneer from a dealer, but looks like I ran into the first issue! The Pioneer 500, 2018 is not going faster than 13mph. I do have the seatbelt plugged in, but just cant figure out what is causing that. Any ideas where to look?

Is the wire plugged in from the latch? Wire integrity intact? Pull the seat off and take a peak.

Thanks so much for the reply! I am not sure which wire I am supposed to look at. there is quite a few. When you say latch, do you mean the seat latch? If you can try more less pointing me were to look...sorry I am just dumb when it comes to this stuff. I really appreciate you answering! last thing I want is to take this to the dealer because they will keep it for like 2 months. The turn over is horrible here

Pics Or It Didnt Happen!

I really love this Pioneer! Im not a fast rider and just how roomie it is for a 50in. not to mention how I can load it on my truck bed! the whole not going over 13/15mph now is kind of startling me now. just hope I can figure it out

One of the bigger machines just had this and it was ground issue. They cleaned the grounds and reinstalled them and all was back to normal.

I second this. Grounds are a culprit to many things and easy to clean and on a used machine, a good Idea to do anyway.

Thanks guys I appreciate it!! I think I might buy the Pioneer 700 next, but might ask a few questions on a separate forum on that. As far as cleaning up the ground. Would you happen to know where that is located on the pioneer? or is it negative terminal for the battery? trying to find the ground connection, but no idea where its located

Pull the seat off, then pull the plastic panels off. IIRC, there is a driver side panel, a passenger side, and a center panel over the seam towards the back of the seat. Under there, connected to the seat belt latch, is a plug with 2 prongs. make sure that is plugged in. Its also a great time to bypass it with an override sold at the club store.

Yep and Honda seems to have issues with all the grounding connections to the frame. Honda seems to have issues understanding grounding and decent shocks on all there S X S's.
