Honda / Allison Transmission

Had a guy come in our store the other day and he made the comment that he just bought a new 1000-3. I replied that I had a 2016 and he asked if mine had the "Allison transmission." I replied that I didn't know Allison made Honda's transmissions, and he said they did. Any truth to that?

I dont know why he would think that but the old allisons used 10w30 engine oil for trans fluid not the worlds thought
