Had some leftover screen from an old pop up sceened in canopy. Now that I know it will work going to buy some heavy nylon screen material and build new. I thought the blue really complemented the camo

I like, how about taking it to a sewing place and see if they could sew on zippers around the roll cage pillars? Just a thought and would make it easy peasy to take off when you wanted to.

Good idea I will have to be a little more precise with my measurements. Just strung tight with some 550 cord right now.my plan is to put some carbon tent poles down the side with some bungee loops on a heavyweight nylon screen material

Just took my new screen out for a test run
It held up well no flapping and kept most of the bugs out. Visibility I'm low light was good but... sun was a definite no go. Was like driving into thick dust. Will try again with a different dark colored screen

My wife said to tell you to google or look up pet resistant screen on Amazon. It would be resistant to limb damage and you can get it in a charcoal color which would give you better visibility looking through it. Will be interesting to see how you attach it and keep it taunt. We have a roll of it here that she bought because we have cats that like to climb screen doors to get our attention.

Thanks.I'll check it out. Didn't know they made a pet resistant screen..that should work well.

How about having Velcro sewn to the ends so it's a quick wrap around the pillars and done?

Any progress on the do it yourself bug screen?
I have all my materials in now to do it but I had a broken tractor to fix first. Priorities :(

We have the pet resistant screen, 2" border, wide Velcro, etc from Amazon. Now if I can get my wife kicked off of dead center to design and sew it. If anyone can do it she can. We'll see.

I also got the pet screen and some grommets I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get it tight enough with the velcro or zippers. I have a idea in my head how I want to do it just gotta find time to do it.

Yep, she is checking out the way our friend's vinyl low dollar windshield attaches. Hard to describe but it has velcro on the roll cage verticle tubes and the straps pass thru themselves and Velcro back to themselves to maintain tension. When we get to this project I will try to post pictures if we are successful.

Well finally had time to get my bug screen put together. I was happy with the way it turned out .visibility is good but it's still like looking through a screen..the darker out the better you can see.
