P700 Help with mudbuster rear flares

So I bought the rear extra coverage mudbuster flares for my 2021 700-4. My question is about the smaller flare that goes in front of the rear tire and attaches to the rear step. Has anyone had trouble installing these or experienced fit up issues? It could be I’m an idiot but I thought maybe someone here had a good pic of how theirs fit or maybe some enlightenment..

Just wanted to close out this post in case anybody lands on it in the future.. I sent some some pics to Mudbusters and they agreed something was not right. They sent me some new pieces that were bent correctly and they fit up Much better. The pieces will still need some modification but it was a way better starting point. The person i dealt with at mudbusters was very good to work with.
