Has anyone tried sticking the heat barrier material with aluminum on one side and adhesive on the back side to the inside of the vertical panel under the seat. Seems like the barrier under the seat and the barrier glued to the back of that plastic panel would go a long way toward cutting off the path for all that heat. Its 93 degrees here today and that heat sucks even with no windshield installed.

You could always use the search function and see, as there are dozens of posts on this issue, including someone who sells them on here.

Yep, I am aware of the under seat shields but what I am talking about is insulating the back side of the panel that radiates heat to your legs.

Yes it looks like a couple people are. I'm planning as well. @Eltobgi just did a write up with pics too. Look under The Beast

Like this?

Edit, picture function not working right now. I'll try something else.

For some reason I didn't think you did any insulation

I didn't wrap the pipes. I did use Ross's heat shield and lined the engine compartment. It helped a lot.
How about for noise?

It is pretty quiet I was just saying asking. I do like the sound of the snorkel. Mines no real difference until on it then sounds pissed

It may have helped some. I can use the db APP to test noise sometime next week when I return home.
We have the same phone so your readings should be close to mine. I've got db pro, my readings were 60-1 db idle and 67 @3000r's

Ok, I'll down load that app and try next when I get home.

Is that 3000rpms driving or neutral? One thing that may make a difference is our snorkel intake is louder than stock.

I'll make sure that I list the conditions of the test.
