Hey,
I have water in my gearbox. What's the best solution?
They won't completely drain.

PS: My first sentence read, "I have water in my rearend" That seemed like a dangerous statement on this forum.

Drain it and fill it back with kerosene then drain that and refill

I haven't serviced mine yet but I'd think you may be able to use a syringe (available at farm stores) with a small piece of tubing attached to get it out. I've used them on similar applications, just not the Honda at this point
Turkey baster with tubing may work as well

Just out of curiosity, how did you get water in there?

That's a trick I used back in my mud truck days when I got water in my differentials. Idk if the gear box has a drain plug but if it does it should work the same as the differentials

I’m curious how this happens, I’ve never thought about submerging the diffs in water causing that problem. Now I want to go look at mine!!

Usually gets in through the vent lines. If you haven’t extended yours, do it. @Bayouownbeer sells a kit for it

Oh s*** ok, roger that. Thanks for that heads up, I’ll get with him. Wish I had that in place now as it would probably be quite handy this weekend right. :D

Sorry for the confusion. The water is in the differential and I'm sure it entered through the vent line.
This problem is on my Honda Foreman. It isn't snorkeled. It has a lot of miles in 12"-18" water.

I can fill it with motor oil and run it on the jacks the drain and repeat.
I can also try to suck as much of the milky oil out as I can.

B.U.D.S. training for SXS. Some people buy UTVs when they really need a johnboat.

I have a jet drive that will run in 4 inches of water, just need a jet drive on the back, that would really screw up your rear shock adjustments, HA!
