P500 Gasoline odor when coming to a stop

Hi all. Most of the time when I ccome to a stop I would smell gasoline. I found that Honda has a 1ft. hose on the vent of the gas tank thatis right under the passenger seat. I added an elbow to the hose with an additional 2 1/2 ft. of hose. I routed that out the back behind the passenger seat. You can see the hose behind gas tank. NO more gas smell! Yes the vent hose is closer to the ground than before. I am not driving in deep water. If you are then just route it higher.

Most don't plan to ride in deep water but you never know when creeping into a mudhole just how deep it's going to get. Extending all your vent lines is cheap insurance. Consider a snorkel as well, cheap and easy to do. Gets your intake up and out of the dust too.

Go to youtube and look at Appalachianmountainrider. He has everything vented and snorkeled.
