Garmin Virb App

Anybody else having connectivity issues with the Virb app? There must have been an update right before I got my Virb because there are a ton of reviews on the app store saying it broke connectivity. Mine worked the first time I tried it but it just keeps dropping the connection over and over now and I haven't got it to connect again. Hopefully I'm just doing something wrong....

I have mine linked together and use the Bluetooth remote since the app requires the phone/tablet have the screen on and connected the entire time.

I've got the remote and use it for capturing video/stills. I wanted to send the video to a friend that was riding along with me but couldn't get the stupid app to work.

It’s never been very quick for me on the phone/iPad/android tablet, I usually just wait till I get home. To me the App is more for camera view / setup / control than editing or reviewing video. If there’s a shortcoming of the garmin setup their mobile app is it, also the desktop app won’t use multiple CPU/GPU cores on a Mac so even if you had a MAC PRO you’re on 1 core.

I use the app cause I’m to cheap to spring for the remote . It works fair and controls both of my cameras at once. Probably the best is it shows the power loss to the camera and it has shut down , the power cord needs real clean contact points or it will loose its connections.
