What would be the best way to lift just the front just about 1"or 2" ?

Best??? Depends on what you mean by "best"

A shim/spacer in the shocks is the simplest. IMO
Lift kits are available and work very well. (most widely used method)
Longer shocks could provide a better ride AND lift.
Arched A-arms would be great and add clearance.

I'll also suggest larger tires although I don't like to go too large. I believe I read that tires should all be the same diameter so that they turn at the same rate in 4WD, so you'll have to raise the back too, darn it.

cheapest easiest way would be spacers but that also preloads your springs so the already stiff shock would be even stiffer
