Hi All. New 500 owner. I wanted a 520 but there are none and the eta for anything is months off. I found a 2015 500 with 1500 miles and 250 hours, with winch, plow, hard top, wind shield, storage bags and a rear 2" receiver adapter for $8000, so I snapped it up.

It's in decent shape and runs fine. After looking at it after the purchase I see that the pervious owner took a lot of shortcuts mounting stuff. He cut the original bumper open to make room for the winch and did a home brew winch mount, and left some bolts loose, etc.

In short, not to my standards. I want to add the full front bumper and a solid winch mount.

Is it possible to get the full frontal bumper to replace the original bumper and a winch mount that will fit without modification? The winch is needed for the plow, which is a Warn 54" with the provantage front mount which is intact without damage or modification.

Thanks for the quick replies. I was going to use the OEM front bumper, but will look at others.

(Won't buy from Amazon)

And this mount which looks like the KFI: Amazon.com: Dasen Winch Mount Plate kit - Compatible with 2015-2021 Honda Pioneer 500 Come with Complete Installation Instructions: Automotive

To confirm, any new bumper will replace the original bumper that the last guy chopped up, and winch mount will work?

Ha! I know I know. I don't have any new pics yet cause it needs a good wash and it's Hell in August here in VA right now. Here is a pic from the ad. You can see why it needs a wash.

always loved the camo!
looks fairly stock. You got some spending to do! Hahaha
I had a yellow 15’ P5 was a fun hard working machine. I pulled 13 stumps with that bugger on my camp trail one weekend. Nice machine!

Yeah, looks pretty standard. It's got new Wanda tires (not sure if good or bad), a Warn 54" plow and Superwinch 3500, and he chopped up the front bumper to mount it. Not to my standards so that will get fixed immediately. I'll probably replace the winch cable with synth. Not sure what else I need, but the forum gods will tell me. :)

Welcome from the ‘free state’ of Montana- and another camo P5 owner (2017). While blue (or red depending on who posts it) is the fastest- they can’t see us passing them. :)

There’s a ton of good info about bumpers/ mounting winches/ everything else already posted. Grab a cup of coffee tomorrow and search ‘bumper’, etc. and enjoy.

Also, read the reverse handle modification (you basically tighten a cable nut) to stop fumbling under the dash every time you want to put it in reverse.

Thanks. Will search for 'bumper' tomorrow. Just watched the vid on the reverse handle. Nice. I'm curious what it really does though. Does over adjusting that cable put in any stress on the trans or anything else?

Does that replace the original bumper? The last guy cut a big slot out of mine and want to replace it or at least hide it completely. And, does this bumper come with the winch mount and cable slider thing included?
The StrongMade bolts on to the existing bumper and covers it. Depending on how yours is cut it might be the best fix. There’s a YouTube video on installing it, you could watch that and see if it will work for you.

Thanks. It looks like it won't cover up the mess in my bumper. Here's a pic. When I went to look at it he had the blade on, so it didn't jump out at me how he had mounted the winch. You can see he cut a chunk out of the top plate of the original bumper and make a home brew winch mount. All that stuff needs to come out.

I'm thinking I'll get the Honda full bumper and a KFI or similar winch mount and clean everything up... assuming that will all work together. Also going to replace the cable with synth and a bump stop.

Tell me more about the P700 bumper mounted on P500. Did you need to fabricate new brackets? Did a winch in the factory, lower position still fit?

Asking for a friend who has seem a P700 bumper on Craigslist for a couple months now.

Welcome, I have the Strongmade bumper which attached with U bolts to the OEM bumper tubes which you still have, just bolt it on with no mods needed. Extremely stout and mounted the winch on top. I have bumped trees and pushed over downed trees with no issues. The bulldozer of bumpers.

Lower position fit?
Asking for a friend
Front bumper Bottom mounts P700 & P500 --"Identical" & Bolt right up.
When I did the redo on Top Bumper mounts - fabricated for top mount winch or -"2in. Receiver"- ( prefer top mount winch )
You & your friend are on your own -- on lower winch-mount -- Creativity will get it done

Yeah, it was pretty disgusting. Perhaps thats one reason it didn't sell, of course he was asking 10k for it which was a none starter. I sprayed a huge amount of dirt out of it, inside and out. No damage, but it had been buried.
