Camped for 4 days, saw AMAZING scenery, Bighorn sheep, bone jarring roads, choking dust and slot canyons 500 feet high...but at times we were on groomed dirt and asphalt...Slick rock to Ponderosa Pine. Clocked way over 300 miles total. LOVE being street legal when I need it! Super convenient riding into town for gas and such.

We had two 125 mile days and the rig took anything we pointed it at...GOOD TIMES!

bone jarring is right especially on the Hole in the Rock road. Can you imagine doing that with a covered wagon? Love that area!

Oh MAN!! Or lowering said wagon down that dang slot! Ya, can't even walk down...

Wagon, oxen, cows, horses, etc. Amazing!!! I heard that Utah made it a state park now, is there any indication of that change yet?

Well, Hole in the Rock is in Lake Powell National Recreation Area, and that is bordered by Grand Staircase National Monument. I'm sure there are forces at work that would like to make the state of Utah a Nation Park (even though we have 5 already...LOL).

But to answer your question, I did not see any evidence of a state park.

Huh...I had no idea. It's totally unnecessary for any level or protection at this point. The only reason I could see is for state revenue. "Pay to Play"

Stunning...but I would expect no less from southern Utah. This area was always a dream ride for me, so its a bit ironic that despite spending several years in central AZ (just hours away), I never got to do it. Maybe not too far in the future...

There used to be a list of businesses that support the SUWA, and I was a little surprised to see that several in the Moab area (arguably, the off-road capitol of the world) were on there. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you!

SUWA AKA SEWER...Fuknut ba$tards IMO. Bunch of j@cka$$ libitards out to save the freaking world. $hit loads of transplants from the liberal coasts, roll into Utah in togas and Birkenstock's and have a grand view of how "It should be" regardless of the fact "we" the land users (aka farmers, ranchers etc.) have been the stewards of this land for nearly 170 years. If we've done such a bad job, how come it's so beautiful and valuable to want them to save it?? AND Moab is ground zero for these fuks.

I think the Soros grand plan is to have us all in little controlled compartments, under someones control, go to work, pay huge taxes, never retire and then put down at the end of your useful life to make room for more productive worker units.

Holy @#$%...this topic gets me going...can you tell...LOL

Anyone of those pictures would make a great postcard.. I loved your first picture, great way to show the true scale of the landscape.. I'm always disappointed when I get home and see my pictures don't live up to my eye. Yours are great and make me want to revisit the Lake Powell area after 35yr hiatus.
