Did you buy a new or used machine?
Looks like a seal for glass or plexiglass edge to me.

I agree with JB, looks like some windshield gasket.

Wait! You found a beer between the seat cushions? That could explain a lot about my over tightened bolts, the broken chunk of round file I found between my seats (I think they were using it as an awl to try to align holes or something), and the few missing plastic rivets etc. on my new P1-5 SE.

I thought about this all night. Couldn't sleep. I was able to piece together a couple things and I think I figured out that if I put these two messages together in sequencial order I have come to the conclusion that he has not purchased a used or new machine and will keep looking. Makes perfect sense if you ignore the title.

used and have both rear panel and windshield!

So our guess was probably accurate. Post some pics of your windshield and back panel and we can try to help you figure out where it is missing from.

Must be from rear panel. The OEM Honda windshield has two . One on the top to seal against roof and one on bottom to seal to hood. Both are a different profile than the one your holding.

We don’t know if it’s a Honda windshield though.
