Do you not have a skid plate?Anyone figured out some simple panels to keep sticks and rocks from poking through the floor boards?
First thing I should have bought, full skid plate system, running the Trail Armor now, hammer down!Anyone figured out some simple panels to keep sticks and rocks from poking through the floor boards?

Those look to be a quality product and I plan to order a set for my 1000 after Christmas.Ricochet rock sliders.
If I had it to do over...
I'd buy them again (as part of the entire skid package)
They are excellent!
They are. I scratched my head a little at first because of the mounting hardware seemed a little too simple. But if you use an impact driver and a T40 torx bit, it's beyond solid. Those look to be a quality product and I plan to order a set for my 1000 after Christmas.
Yep, Yep, Yep, Skids should be the very first thing you buy as an accessory, no doubt about it, what ever brand. They are. I scratched my head a little at first because of the mounting hardware seemed a little too simple. But if you use an impact driver and a T40 torx bit, it's beyond solid.
Glad to see it's not out of proportion $$$ with the P500.
Word!Yep, Yep, Yep, Skids should be the very first thing you buy as an accessory, no doubt about it, what ever brand.
Yea, It happens. And I don't like the metal and rock meeting sound. I really like my Trail Armor system, 1/2 inch thick.Word!
Regretted not doing it sooner.
I had a limb come through my floorboard the first week I owned my Pioneer 500.
Rocks not a problem here in Mississippi.Yea, It happens. And I don't like the metal and rock meeting sound. I really like my Trail Armor system, 1/2 inch thick.
I'm going with S&S fabrication... they're out of eastern Ky and offer full skids and a-arm guards.. everything powder coated for 750.. that's including shipping. They're 3/16 aluminum and he offers a 5 year warranty. They don't have a website just Facebook.Glad to see it's not out of proportion $$$ with the P500.
I figure if I have an issue with the noise I'll add a thin uhmw layer like the ricochets.. I'm also thinking about adding some of this to the back of the S&S skids..Yea, It happens. And I don't like the metal and rock meeting sound. I really like my Trail Armor system, 1/2 inch thick.
