First Responders Day. A big thumbs up to all EMTs, Firefighters and Law Enforcement serving the public. 2020 has definitely been a year of challenges for them. And a special thanks to all those serving as Volunteers in their community, about 70% of firefighters are volunteers.

I made a trip to the rural Nob Hill Fire Dept. to renew our membership this morning and asked them if they knew what today was, they had no idea. This small Fire Dept. saves $ 1,800.00 a year in insurance premiums, I gladly renew our $ 200.00 membership every year. Thanks Men and Women!

I like the days that reminds us to thank those around us, what ever you do. Tomorrow is thank your plumber day! I expect to be flooded by phone calls! HA!

I call BS ....... it takes away from the original ones that truly are special ...... like Mothers Day and Fathers Day! Just another result of todays society mindset of ....... everyone gets a trophy.

I call BS, I didn't say anything about trophies, of course , the birth of the Christ Child born at Christmas, Easter, the death and resurrection of the Christ child. Then all the the other Remembrance days, Vet days are very special to me, I spend several hours a day on the phone thanking them for there service. Mothers Day, Fathers Day, all the family birth days, I just like a reminder of those we have forgot to thank. I am forgetful!
