P1000 Feeling Better About My Ride

Got my initial service completed today at Honda of Russellville. Huge dealership with tons of P1000s and P500s in all the available colors plus several special colors like the P500 they ordered and put 2015 Yellow plastic on so you can have a 2016 in yellow (no extra charge). They also have several P1000s and P500s specially coated in something like Rino Hyde with glitter. Saw one in flat black and several other colors. They are throwing this in at no charge. They have specials running on both models. Met one couple that was buying a P1K5 in red for $13995. The salesman said the P500s were also on sale for $1000 off at $7495. Oh, and after I got home and unloaded my P1K5 and took it for a ride. Must say there is quite an improvement in smoother shifting. I am going to reserve judgement on this transmission till I get 400-500 miles on it because I am beginning to believe it really will sort itself out with more miles. Can't wait to change the fluid in both differentials. Now if Honda will fix these hot cab problems life will be good.

It get smoother yet. Isn't nice to have a vehicle gets better rather then worse?

I didn't ask about what brand tires and wheels those were but they were cool. The tires were tall but had a narrow width.

I felt the same way about the shifting at first. I didn't like the constant loud shifting and jerking. I came from a Polaris Ranger so it's way different. I have about 400 miles on mine and now after I've done the leaning curve on driving it and it shifts smoother I really enjoy it. It shifts more like a truck now.

i have 1500 miles on mine and it is so quite now. i almost got ran over by an elk i spooked coming around a corner. very happy with the quietness after a while of break-in.
