P1000 Fan Override Wiring

Bought fan override t-harness from club store. Can I run directly to switch/12v power or do I need relay? Store says no relay will light up switch when auto kicks on if no relay is used. Instructions say power via relay. I like idea of no relay option but don’t want to screw anything up. Thanks fellers!

Assuming you bought the DIY kit?
A relay is recommended.
But the fan pulls under 10amps.
So you could run through a switch without a relay.
