I purchased a factory top when I purchased the sxs new. But soon discovered it was too tall for me to pull into my carport. Is there any help out there, Short of selling my top and buying an aftermarket one.

Yeah, I was nervous when I bought mine , if it would fit in my shop door. Lucky it did, but just by a hair, but it clears.
If your carport has any trim panels that you can take off to give more room , not sure what you can do except get the saw out and make the carport opening taller.

How tall are we talking? You could either remove roof or deflate tires. Or maybe lift carport or dig down in ground. Not sure of your situation.

Remove the center cage clamps from the brackets, remove the rear claps from roof. Pull the roof down on the roll cage behind the drivers head and mark 2 new bolt holes to be drilled on the L & R L brackets that bolt to the roof. You can get an inch to inch n half in the middle. Take the rear clamps and flip them upside down and drill 2 new bolt holes. I think you can get more than 2 " on the rear.

The rear is where I need the clearance.

You could flip the rear clamps and pull down on the roof but it is easier to drop the rear after dropping the center section.

They look even better with a new cage that's a flat roof. I feel Honda kinda dropped the ball on a few things with the 700. I like my 700 but they should've done quiet a bit different

If I had to I would chop it, it does look good. Personally though, I like the jagged roof line of the 700.
Roofline stays. You cut out a few inches on bottom of ROPS

@Donsavage before you go chopping the top try using a reachet strap from the ROPS to the frame and simiply compress the shocks to gain your clearance. I had to do this in AK and I had a roof 28's and a lift kit.

It will free up time to fun ride if you are not having to work on a big mod!
