I've always towed SxS in an open trailer. Looking at going to an enclosed trailer but really don't want to go with a 8.5 foot wide version. How difficult will it be to get in and out of a Talon X inside a 7 foot wide trailer?
Thanks!
Thanks!
My stock Talon R was wide enough to rub the cables that let the door up and down on a 7' wide trailer. It would fit but I had someone hold the cables out of the way when I loaded it.I've always towed SxS in an open trailer. What your aversion to 8.5 wide?
So you’re in the same boat I was... what truck will you be pulling it with?Nothing more than rear visibility and maybe a bit more wind resistance. It's really not a deal breaker, but a personal preference.
I had to crawl out of the side window of the talon. I am 5'11'' and 175lbMaybe I wasn't very clear. I know I can get the talon inside a 7 ft. trailer, my question is can I get myself out of the Talon while it's inside the trailer?

Not fun at all, then crawl on the tires to get out of the trailer. I would get a 8' wide trailer. I borrowed the one I was using so I was glad to return it.That's what I was hoping not to hear.
Then by all means.. get an 8.5x24... you won’t be sorry!Truck isn't a problem. Chevy 2500 HD.
I have a 7x16 Haulmark Transport. Talon fits fine. Mine has extra height. 84" interior. 80" interior width. There is room to open the door enough to step out onto the tire and off the front. Really no big deal and I'm an old, fat guy. I put a piece of 1/4" foam on the wall to protect the door. Obviously it would be easier with a wider trailer but this works.
