There is a 2016 PDF available for supporting/lifetime members.
You really may only need the 2017 if you have an LE model.
Additional chapters for the I4wd system and wiring diagrams.

Not true, Honda changed some of the wire harness around.

For instance under the seat is a wire junction block on the 17 models that has different color wires on a 16 model dealing with the dlc connector. Never assume year to year are the same.

Are there plans to do something similar for 2017 and 2018 models?

Hondatech, any idea if Honda will start offering soft copies of the manuals? Cost is minimal for these compared to printed versions. Plus soft copies can be easily updated.

The only way I know you can get one from a dealer is through Helm and it's paper. I'm Don't see why they wouldn't release it on CD or even usb drive. It's got to be cheaper that way, rather than printing them. Let me do some digging and see what I can find. I don't have access to the Helm delaer site anymore but there may be a consumer one somewhere. I know the Big Red owners manual came on a disk when they released as well as paper.

Give a few hours I'll look.

I can see why they don't make any of it electronic, no money to be made if you've got a copy of it. It would get spread around to everyone then.
