im sure this has been covered but please help me!!! Im looking for the best and cheapest way to install a second battery. Im going to put a yellow top under the driver seat just not sure what kind of isolator to use or use a solenoid

I have mine mounted on the bulkhead under the drivers seat so I can reset or trip it as I need.

Make your own cables, make them fit out of way of heat or anything that could cut them.
The shorter the better, less voltage drop more capacity.


I'll add a lot more pictures to my build thread once I'm feeling frisky enough to go take them.

Isolator is in the last picture. I've got it wired and somewhat cleaned up. I have to swap the PDM60 out for a new one. Circuit 6 has noise in it for some reason.

I couldn't find a decent isolator. So currently I am just running a single yellow top and have unhooked the factory battery.

There's a 1.5-1.75" bar running directly under the middle of my battery, it's already there from factory.

That's why my tie down is slightly off center.

I have another piece of aluminum just like on the top on the underside of the plastic so it is basically clamping the battery in place.

welded a flat bar between side frame rail and then enclosed the battery in a metal optima trail case from sumit and bolted it to the bar. Let me know if you need additional pics

I'm planning on using this as my isolator. That way I can control when it is connected and can easily jump myself if needed.
