Where's a good place to get some polycarbonate to make a w/s?
I'm looking to make a w/s for the upper section up front and leave the bottom open below the cross bar for a little air flow.
Anything useful I need to know about a DIY W/S project before I get started?

I would start at a local hardware store, or a window shop. One thing to consider is standard poly material will scratch easy. I have the honda 2 piece on mine. The top section is hard coated had it on for over a year, I am carefully when cleaning don't scratch it and seem to be holding well. The bottom section is not coated, and is getting real fine scratches in it. This will be a problem at night when meeting vehicles headlights, also the sun will reflect and be hard to see. I know they are expensive, but you get what you pay for. My opinion is if you you go through all the trouble making one and it don't hold up you won't be happy. JMHO.

Ya, most aren't worth a darn after a few trail rides. No better than a golf car windshield. I need some hard coat poly material or may just get some glass cut and install hydraulic hinges on each side for a tip out option.

on sale for 239$ right now. Pioneer 700 Hard Coated Full Windshield

I went with one of these after breaking down the cost of a full 4x8 sheet of hard coat to split with 3 people and then factoring in the cost of the quick release clamps. it came out cheaper to just buy one.

I'd look for Makrolon AR. You can get it tinted and it is scratch resistant with a hard coating. I found a 62x12x1/4" piece on ebay.

Cuts easy with a knife

I used Arctic Cat clamps so it's removable
