I wanted to share my DIY TR-7 holder. I purchased multiple factory charging/holders. Broke 3 in 8 rides. So......
This is how I resolved my issue once and for all. Never failed or dislodged. Not once in 3 years.
Aluminum stock: 1/4"-3/16" plate(Back plate). 2"x1/4 angle. Cut 4-1"long sections of the angle and simply dry fit as needed to your devices. then 4 corner welds. That's it. I trimmed my back plate to reduce weight with a jig saw. My setup looks like crap but it does the job.
