I've always done my own maintenance on everything. I'm curious if honda requires you to have a dealer do the scheduled maintenance to keep the warranty valid.

Just keep receipts of your oil, filter and supply purchases along with noting dates/miles/hours when you do the service and you’re covered.

Failure analysis will always tell you how a problem originated.

In other words, Honda can tell if you changed your oil properly.
