The deluxe has radial tires instead of bias, 14" aluminum wheels instead of 12" steel, colored side panels and led headlights otherwise everything else is the same

Deluxe has 4 ply (bad call by Honda) radials, all others have 6 ply bias.

So pretty much the same, i was looking at aftermarket wheels and tires and a lift for it anyways, not really concerned about side panels. May just stick with the 1000 5

Imo, the deluxe only has one thing going for it LED headlights. Other than that the side panels are just another colored thing to get scratched and everyone puts wheels and tires on their rig at some point. Plus if you really want the Honda rims, they can be purchased separately and installed on whatever tires you want. I know you can only get the 1000-5 in red or green, but not a big deal either, buy the color and swap it out later as well. It's not as expensive as you think (unless you want camo), for less than $200 + tax you can make the front end any color Honda offers, hell even orange if you fancy and the led headlights are also an available add on as well.

For example, If I wanted to make a red/green non-deluxe silver instead. It would cost $347 retail for the hood, front fender, door and bed panels. Then you'd just put them on like the Honda accessory door panels. Throw you own wheels/ tires on the led headlights for $400 (if wanted) and you've got a deluxe. But like I've said, the panels are only going to get scratched to hell and back.

Shop around. I purchased a deluxe for less than anyone in my area would sell me a standard unit for. I had to drive 3 hours to Iowa but because it was a cross boarder purchase it made the deal even better on the tax side.
