You can fabricate a custom aluminum roof with ZERO Skill or knowledge. This is how I did mine.

1. Look around for a local metals shop/supplier.
2. Ask for 3/16 Diamond plate cut and bent as need. My cost ( in Miami ) for an oversized rood was about $450.
3. Remember to measure your roof area a couple of times & oversize as needed. I went 8" longer in the back & 4" longer in the front plus and additional 5.5" for the 45degree downward bend.
4. Sand down the aluminum & degrease it
5. Spray it down with Self etching primer (Home Depot)
6. Spray down with truck bed coating (Home Depot)
7. I used 1" Expandable foam tape to seal the roof (Home Depot)
8. Bolted down on all 4 corners of the P1000-3. Did the same thing on my Defender XMR. (Same process most SXS)
9. You can shape the roof as need with a simple jig saw
10. No welding required

Benefits of a 3/16 roof: You can stand up to glass during hunting season. Fits a spare tire , cargo capacity, multiple attachments simply bolt on, attach lights as needed.

Best of luck !
Rudy

Looks good! I like the color.
This is for a P3 not P1K5 tho right?
the material cost would be double, just so everyone knows.
