New to the forum and would like to know of the cold weather performance of owners who live in far northern climate where temps while ice fishing can be down to -25 F all day and -30 to -40 at night...is there a block heater option? after sitting out fishing all day any issues with starting?

Also, what are the heater options

if you bought a block heater design to go in the heater hose off a truck you could put it in the s hose were we hook the heater that would warming up very nicely.
I can tell you it has no problem with ten below zero but I don't know about 40 below

I live in new Brunswick Canada and I have had no trouble starting my pioneer even in -30 celcius. The only thing I notice is that it shifts through the gears hard until warmed up.

I trailered mine home from the dealer for 100 miles at -16 F. Had one hell of time getting it started again. I'm in Fairbanks, AK.

My 2014 700 pioneer is very hard starting in cold weather I live in Plamondon Alberta, installed a lower rad hose heater but it just kicks out either my electrical breaker or my gfi plug

That’s pretty cold. If you drove 65mph it would be -57 F with the windchill factor.
