  1. 1000-5
2024 deluxe 1000-5. 852 miles. Was told by dealer that when cold, the newer clutches will slip so not to engage harshly. I didn't notice this until recently. Seems fine once I get going.

True???

But what do you mean by slip?

Is it revving high when cold and pulling out ?

  1. Do not currently own
They do engage differently then the 2021 ans down models, it's more of slipping feeling then the jumpy, quick engagement that they originally had.

Some of them are more noticable then others. An easy way to tell if the clutch is slipping (it'll always be the #1 clutch) is to watch for flaring during upshifts into 3rd or 5th.

Revs and eases into to engagement. My 2020 was instant. I always allow machine the warm up before going too.
