17 pioneer, got hot and boiled over last week thought it was because of no ecm flash, drained coolant and refilled today and tried to burp the system, I thought I was getting somewhere until it started to overheat again and the dumby light came on. I now notice a clicking noise when I first turn it on and am wondering if that’s where my problem is coming from. Any ideas??

To clarify, the clicking noise is before or after you start it? Was the fan running when it got hot both times?

After first started, the fan was not running the first time it overheated, I’m assuming because of the flash and me waiting too long to start it. The other times it got hot the fan was running I assumed because it needed burped. Same as last night when I was in the process of burping it. It would bubble at the radiator like air was coming out, I walked off and came back and the radiator was almost empty and I could hear the coolant boiling back by the thermostat housing in the lines.

Need the front as high as you can to burp it. Like 2ft higher than the back. Can you narrow down where the noise is coming from?
