P1000 Cleaning stock air filter

Don't haze me. But if I was to clean the stock air filter what would I use? Gas, carb-cleaner, SKcleaner at work? This air filter has 2300miles on it and I have another one that looks the same with about 3k plus on it. I just don't think it needs replaced at this time and I'm doing my 1200mile service.

I wouldn’t clean it. I would replace it if it were mine. Just sayin

Paper filters dont handle solvent cleaners well. I have blown them out with an air compressor...but i dont recommend that either. Best bet is just to replace.

You cant clean them, even with compressed air. Their a viscous paper element. Use and throw away.

Can't you just turn them over, so the clean side is out?😮 If you ever flop your ride, good idea to check / replace filter also! Mine was soaked in oil!

If you think that's dirty, you should sell it here to the guys that get dirty. I've never had a filter look that good in my machine when I checked it
