P1000 CHECK that box, the winch works good for pulling stumps

I bought my Honda Pioneer 1000 mainly as a work machine around the farm, and trail riding.
So far, I know it'll plow snow better then any plow truck or tractor.
And now I know it'll pull stumps when needed.
I know they were small, but I couldn't do it by hand.

I had the rear chained to a tree behind me using the tow hitch.
Pulled forward to tighten the chain, set the Hillbilly Brake, then went to neutral.

Yep, I know, some sort of rim to make the pull upward would have helped.
But hey, it was sort of a spur of the moment thing. haha!
The wife asked, "Hey, will the winch, on the Honda, pull out trees?"
I said lets give it a try.

My wench.....ahem... wife... sure is getting some use out of my winch. hahaha!

I did not subtract the tackle resistance.

I should have taken pictures of the blocking. I had to block all 4 wheel on Wild Blue and my pickup. I was dragging both vehicles, darn bush was in there deep. haha!

That's a great report. I've always found the limiting factor to be the weight/traction of the vehicle trying to pull with the winch.
I think most of us want to know what our machines/winches/wenches can do, without going too far. 😈
